This website (docstockton.com) is an educational and informational resource for current and prospective patients of Leah Stockton, MD. While we take the security of our website seriously—including the use of SSL encryption for all web forms—the general Contact and Referral forms on this site are not intended for the transmission of sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

• General web forms (Contact, Appointment Request, etc.) are for non-urgent, general inquiries only.

3. Official Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP)
This website disclaimer is not a replacement for our formal clinical Notice of Privacy Practices. Upon becoming a patient of Dr. Stockton or during your first in-person consultation, you will be provided with our complete, legally mandated Notice of Privacy Practices. This document explains in detail how your medical records are handled, how we may use or disclose your health information, and your rights regarding your medical data within our clinical systems.
4. Current Patients & Urgent Inquiries
If you are a current patient and need to discuss a specific medical concern, post-operative symptom, or medication change:
• DO NOT use the website contact forms.

• If you are experiencing a medical emergency, dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
5. Secure Patient Portals
If Dr. Stockton’s office has provided you with access to a secure Patient Portal (via the Saint Alphonsus network or similar), please use that encrypted platform for all clinical communications and viewing of medical records.
